About the author and this Autobiography:

Ivan Rukavina was born in Croatia 1963. 

Ivan arrived in Australia as a young man. Ivan settled in Sydney commencing school at a late age. 

He left to start work, and was introduced to boxing, which became his " Fighting Life". Boxing took him to his peak achievement as an amateur to win the King's Cup for Australia in Thailand. Preparing for Seoul Olympics he was injured and missed out on selection. He turned professional and won the Australian and Australasian Light Heavyweight Championships. Looking for more fights and honors, he came to the United States and fought ans sparred with the best in his class. His story is filled with incidents of humor, romance, failure and disappointment, as well as revealing a fighting spirit which was disciplined with a "never - give - up " attitude.

Family issues, war stories in Croatian history, farming anecdotes, and stories of friendship are intertwined with detailed descriptions of bouts in the boxing ring. Ivan's inspirational story is one of adventures, persistence and fighting spirit.
